Hi everyone, Keeks here! It’s been exactly a week since we closed our pre-alpha playtest, and we finally have had time to personally debrief our experience during this pivotal moment of our journey. The past month has been an endless period of learning, and we’ve been reflecting on what we do and how to improve. We are surprised by the sheer amount of support in this early stage of our game, and we would like to share our thoughts with all of you. FANDRY, CREATIVE DIRECTOR This playtest is a major milestone for us in the development team, as it serves as validation for Riftstorm’s core gameplay without any of the fluff. Now that results are in, it has blown our expectations out of the water. The fact that within the span of a week, we are seeing more than 5 million Mythics (enemies) killed, that’s equivalent to almost 28,000 sessions played. For the first playtest, that is beyond our imagination. We’ve been blessed to have your support; And now we have a mountain’s worth of player feedback to analyze, both inside of our discord channel and with players who are kind enough to stream, make videos, and share their thoughts.…Oh, and bazillion of bugs to fix. Those are always a nightmare. Now it's time to get back to work. Once again, thank you everyone! VALENT, HEAD PRODUCER What surprised me the most about this playtest? Well, the fact that there are already hardcore superfans out there! I mean, some players went at it for like 20 to 50 hours – that’s mind-blowing! To be honest, we had only set up content for, like, 2 to 4 hours or something. Also, it’s quite surprising that by the third day of our pre-alpha release, our Discord voice chat was buzzing with players. Not just the devs, but players organizing their own livestreams and playing together inside the Discord. If I could say one thing to the players, it’d be a huge ‘thank you.’ Seriously, thanks for jumping in, reporting bugs, giving feedback, and being super understanding about our game still being in pre-alpha.The team’s incredibly grateful for this playtest! It’s really revved up our energy to give it our all in the next one.See you later! Sampai jumpa! STEVE, LEAD GAMEPLAY PROGRAMMER Our aim for this game is to give players a fun, replayable experience, and we wanted to check out how we’ve pulled that off with our mechanics. In this playtest, we

Hi everyone, Keeks here! As of 00:00 on 22nd November, our first pre-alpha playtest event is over, and the team and I wanted to express our gratitude for your participation, feedback, and passion over the last week. For Ken, Dodo, and I, this was our first experience in being behind the scenes of a game playtest and everything about the last week has been a thrill. It has been quite a sleepless night for all of us (and, of course, the time zone differences make it challenging for us to be active for those around the world) to ensure that this game can be experienced by as many people as possible. The team and I were glad that this last week we got a chance to validate our gameplay loop, gather much-needed feedback, and best of all: interact with many of you - with that in mind, we can only say: Thank you! Over the next few days and weeks, we’ll huddle up to review your notes, thoughts, and ideas while the community team and I catch up on some much-needed sleep. Oh, if you haven’t already completed our play-test survey you can do so here: https://mythic.link/pre-alphasurvey We hope you stick around for more updates, and thanks again for playing. Cheers, Keeks
